- 4 eggs,
- 1 tsp. vanilla,
- 1/3 cup (75g) butter or margarine,
- 1 c. (300g) + 3 tbsp. (20g) sugar,
- 1 1/2 c. (40g) Graham cracker crumbs
How To Make Cheesecake from scratch:
- 1Begin by combining the Graham cracker crumbs with the butter (room temperature, not melted) and 3 tbsp. sugar. Then press the Graham cracker mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust. (Skip this step of you bought a premade crust.)
- 2Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- 3In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, vanilla and 1 cup sugar until smooth. Switch the mixer to a low speed and add the eggs one at a time.
- 4Pour the mixture over the crust and then bake for 55 minutes until the center of the cheesecake seems solidified and the surface is very slightly browned.
- 5Cool the cake before removing the rim of the pan and then place in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
